Event Snaps Collective (“the Service”, “we”, “us”), operated from the Republic of the Philippines, is a photo snap-list app for events — weddings, debuts, showers, birthdays, reunions, anniversaries, graduations, corporate gatherings, and similar. An event host (the couple, organizer, or someone organizing on their behalf) sets up an event with a list of photo prompts. Guests scan a QR code, type their first name, and use their phone's camera to complete the prompts. Every photo a guest takes is uploaded full-resolution to a shared gallery that the host can browse, filter, favorite, and export.
Event Snaps Collective does not use traditional accounts. Guests don't register or set a password: joining an event stores a random device token in your browser (as a cookie) that identifies your phone to that specific event, together with the first name you typed in. This token is what lets you come back to your snaps later and delete your own shots. Because there is no password, anyone with access to your phone or that browser session can act as you within that event. Hosts similarly access their event's gallery with a per-event host link/token rather than a username and password.
You retain ownership of the photos you take and upload through Event Snaps Collective. By uploading a photo, you grant the event host, and Event Snaps Collective as the service operator, a non-exclusive license to store, display, reproduce, and export that photo for the purposes of running the event's gallery (including in a downloadable ZIP export the host may generate). You're responsible for what you photograph and upload — don't upload content that is illegal, harassing, sexually explicit, or that you don't have the right to share.
You can delete your own shots at any time from the “my shots” view (/e/<event>/shots) while your session is active on that device. Hosts can also remove any photo from their event's gallery.
If you create and run an event, you are the “host.” You're responsible for:
You may not use the Service to upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes anyone else's rights; to photograph a person who has asked not to be photographed; to attempt to access an event you were not invited to; to probe, scan, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure; or to resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement.
We may remove content, suspend a guest's access, or archive an event that we reasonably believe breaches this section or applicable law. Where it is practical and lawful to do so, we will tell the host first.
Packages are paid per event, in advance, by transfer to one of the channels shown during checkout. After you transfer, you upload a photo of your receipt. Your event details are reserved as soon as you submit the form, but the event only goes live — and guests can only upload — once we have checked that receipt and approved it. If we decline a payment we will tell you why and you can re-upload.
Refunds. If you cancel before your event date and no photos have been uploaded to your gallery, we will refund what you paid in full. Once the event date has passed, or once guests have begun uploading, the package is non-refundable: the storage, delivery, and access window have already been provided. If we cannot deliver the Service at all for reasons within our control, we will refund you.
Prices are shown in Philippine pesos and are per event. We do not charge a subscription and we do not charge per guest.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Event Snaps Collective and the people who operate it from any third-party claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: the content you or your guests upload; who you invited and how you shared your event link or QR code; your use, printing, publication, or further distribution of photos exported from the Service; your failure to obtain any consent required for photographing your guests, including minors; or your breach of these terms or of applicable law.
This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our own breach of these terms or our negligence.
For the personal data collected through an event — guests' first names, table numbers, photos, and messages — the host is the personal information controller and Event Snaps Collective acts as a personal information processor, handling that data on the host's instructions in order to run the event's gallery. The host decides who is invited, what the photo prompts ask for, what stays in the gallery, and what is exported.
We are the controller for the limited data we hold about our own customers — the contact and billing details used to sell and support the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains both in more detail.
The guest snap list is designed to keep working with a spotty venue wifi/cell signal: shots are queued on the guest's device and uploaded in the background once a connection is available. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and to deliver every queued shot, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and a shot that never gets a chance to sync (e.g. the app is closed and the device never reconnects before local storage is cleared) may be lost.
The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Event Snaps Collective and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost, corrupted, or undelivered photos, or unauthorized access to an event resulting from a host or guest failing to keep their link or device secure. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us for the event in question.
Each paid package includes an access window — a set number of days after the event date, stated on the pricing page before you buy and shown on your host page afterwards. Guests may contribute and hosts may export originals for the length of that window. When it closes, uploads and the bulk export stop; the gallery stays viewable and nothing is deleted at that point. Export what you want to keep before the window closes.
We may suspend or archive an event that violates these terms or applicable law. Hosts may request their event and its photos be deleted at any time; see our Privacy Policy for how photo data is retained and deleted today.
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as the Service adds features or as legal requirements change. We'll update the “last updated” date above when we do. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service, and replace any earlier understanding on the same subject. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that part is limited to the smallest extent necessary. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not waived it.
You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor if the Service changes hands, on the same terms. Neither of us is liable for a failure to perform caused by something genuinely outside our control — including power or network failure, a third-party provider outage, natural disaster, or government action — though this does not excuse a failure to refund money owed.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively before the proper courts of the Republic of the Philippines, and you and we each consent to that venue. Before filing, please write to us first — most issues are resolved faster that way.
